The base oil used in Othy’s Oil is unrefined coconut oil, with a melting point around 78 degrees.  As long as your ambient room temperature is between 60-75 degrees, you should have little problem keeping Othy’s Oil in a perfect state for application.  With that said, do not store Othy’s Oil next to anything warm, e.g., a window sill, stove, heater or in your pocket for long periods of time. It will warm up to a very soft state. If this happens, have no fear, just place it somewhere cool and it will quickly solidify. You may store it in a refrigerator between use but it will be quite solid when you first take it out. Which is why I recommend letting it sit out a little and warm up a little bit before use. Either way you store your Othy's Oil on your counter top or in your refrigerator it will liquify quickly and absorb into your skin, leaving little evidence it was ever there. With a little experimentation, you will find your own personal preference.

As for proper use massage Othy's Oil liberally into your skin. You can not use to little or to much. Personally I put a little on my fingertip and rub it into my skin. I will repeat once or twice depending on the size of the area and level of pain. Once again after a little experimentation you will find your own personal preference.
